Are you looking for what could possibly be the best home espresso machine on the market? Don’t mind paying a little more to get a great little machine that uses coffee pods? The Nespresso Essenza Mini Original Espresso Machine could be just what you are looking for.

The Essenza is perfectly sized for home or the office and takes up very little bench space – at just under 25cm tall it is great if you don’t have a lot of space to spare. The Essenza is power-packed using 19 bars of pressure to produce the perfect tasting espresso coffee.

It is packed with features that make this espresso machine so easy to use including:

  • Aerrocino Milk Frother (optional extra)
  • fast heat-up function – only 25 seconds
  • electronic warming
  • removable water tank
  • empty water detection system to prevent it from burning out
  • a storage container that holds 6 used capsules before it requires emptying
  • an automatic switch-off function that detects when the unit is not in use to save on electricity.

The only downside to the Essenza is that the unit is made from plastic and not metal which can seem a little ‘cheaper’ than some of the other models. And if I was comparing this Nespresso Essenza to other brand names then the price may be a little out of the budget for some coffee lovers, but I believe such a well-known International brand name is worth paying for.

What Makes the Nespresso Essenza the Best Home Espresso Machine?

Nespresso coffee is so good it is even being served at some top-notch British and Australian restaurants, and the reason is also the same reason why the Nespresso Essenza is close to the best home espresso machine on the market – it produces a great cup of coffee that many people enjoy.

As an initial skeptic of the Nespresso craze, it is surprising how quickly the market for pods has taken off – you can buy them pretty much in every major supermarket and there are many large brands in the coffee business around the world producing coffee pods to use in your home espresso machines.

The Essenza comes with something many other home espresso machines don’t – an optional milk frother. The inclusion of the Aerrocino with its three different settings could be the very reason why the Essenza is one of the best home espresso machines on the market today, as you can not only produce a great espresso but serve a cappuccino or latte, just like you would from a café.

How Easy Is It To Buy Coffee Pods?

These days coffee pods are so easy to buy – you will find them on the shelves of just about every supermarket, or deli, and with Nespresso, you can even walk into a Nespresso store and be surrounded by thousands of silver-colored pods whilst you sip on a Nespresso for the ultimate experience.

The pods for the Nespresso machines come in many different types of variations and can often be ordered by the size of the cup you prefer, such as a single shot espresso or if you are drinking your coffee with milk.

The categories that you can purchase include Intenso, Espressos, Pure Origin, Lungos, Decaffeinato as well as a number of flavored variations. With so much variety it can be hard to choose; so you can also buy assortment packs which give you the opportunity to experience different flavors at different intensities and there are often limited edition pods available for the real coffee connoisseur to indulge in.

If you love a Nespresso Coffee and are looking for one of the best home espresso machines on the market today, you can’t go wrong with the Nespresso Essenza for your home or office; it gives a perfect coffee whether you like a strong straight black or milk with your coffee.

If there is one thing I love every morning it is an espresso. The frothy goodness of it all has a way of waking me up and helping me out the door each and every day. I have never tried an espresso from this machine, but it looks delicious all the same.
